The Junior League of Collin County Donates $10,000 to Children’s Medical Center at Legacy

This week, The Junior League of Collin County (JLCC) announced a donation of $10,000 to Children’s Medical Center at Legacy to go towards its reading program. The gift was one of two big donations by the JLCC this year, with the other being a $30,000 donation to The Samaritan Inn for a library in its homeless shelter. The organization has raised an impressive total of $429,012 between June 2013 and June 2014.

The Children’s Medical Center Foundation is grateful for not only this generous monetary donation, but for the countless volunteer hours given by JLCC members to Children’s at Legacy. Community donations from organizations like Junior League of Collin County are imperative to the livelihood of Children’s Medical Center, and we are so very appreciative of their support.

As a member of The Junior League of Dallas, I am proud to stand by these women who have given back to the North Texas community in such a generous fashion.
