Celebrating Highland Park Independent School District’s Mad for Plaid Campaign

Each year, families in Highland Park and surrounding areas sport their plaid in support of the Highland Park Independent School District’s Mad for Plaid campaign.

Mad for Plaid is the annual fundraising effort of both the PTA and the Highland Park Education Foundation. The campaign helps fund teachers’ salaries, classroom technology, and a variety of other educational efforts in the school district. Last year, Mad for Plaid raised over $2,000,000 for HPISD and saw an increase in number of donors by 12%.

This Thursday, the PTA and Highland Park Education Foundation will honor major donors to this year’s campaign at a cocktail reception at the home of Heather and Mark Molthan.

As a member of the Highland Park Education Foundation Advisory Board, I’d like to extend my congratulations to all the volunteers and contributors for a successful Mad for Plaid campaign. These funds are so crucial for the programs in our District, which help both our kids and teachers.
