Celebrating 50 Years, NorthPark Honors Cancer Patients

Children’s Medical Center Foundation is honored to celebrate in the Fiftieth Anniversary activities of NorthPark Center.  Recognizing Cancer Awareness Month, NorthPark Center is providing NorthPark Gold for the purchase of “Milestone Gifts” for the patients of the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Patrick Leavey, Pediatric Oncologist, along with patients Reese Skelte, 5, and Julissa Garcia, 9, recently stopped by NorthPark for a shopping spree at the Disney Store and LEGO store to select Milestone Gifts for young cancer patients who reach an important marker or clear a hurdle, such as the end of chemotherapy, transition back to school, or celebrate a birthday in the hospital. The Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders houses one of the largest pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S.

Since first opening their doors in 1965 the NorthPark Center has been passionate about giving back to the community — raising awareness and greatly needed funds for many worthy causes that serve others. To celebrate their fiftieth anniversary they chose to donate to 50 different local organizations that embody the ideal of making Dallas great.  We are so grateful to partner with NorthPark in making life better for children.
